How JVDesignStudio came to be

The Beginning

A love of stories and making things

JVDesignStudio started not with a business plan but with a feeling that the best things are made slowly, carefully, and with a genuine reason to exist. The first ideas lived in notebooks before they ever became pages.

First Books

Elara, Stardust, and Pip arrive

The first wave of picture books stories about online safety, cosmic curiosity, and facing the dark. Each one was an experiment in finding a voice that was warm without being soft, and honest without being heavy.

Games & Experiments

Tabletop games, digital prototypes, free kits

The studio expanded into games cooperative card games, tabletop RPGs for children, digital runners, and free creative kits. Each project pushed into new territory while staying anchored in the same values.

Personal Work

Lumo and the Grumble-Grit

After years of learning how to carry their own Grumble-Grit, J. Valentine created Lumo the most personal book yet. A story not about fixing hard things, but about learning to live alongside them with quiet courage.

Echo, new projects, and what's next

Echo and the Mountain of Choices is in illustration. Five more books are in development. The studio is growing one small try at a time.
