OpenRCT2 Mod Studio
Build a park plugin in your browser

A little plugin maker for the OpenRCT2 World Workshop: name your plugin, choose when it runs and what it does with the park, read a broken console log and choose the fix, then download a real plugin folder as a zip. It runs on a locked-down school computer with no install and no account.

Make your own art and sounds: draw sprites in Pixel Studio and make music or sound effects in Sound Studio, then bring them into your project.
Ember
Ember says: an OpenRCT2 plugin is one .js file with a function and a registerPlugin call. Everything you pick here changes that one file. Your work saves automatically.

Plugin details

The name is what players see in the Plugin Manager. The folder name must use only letters, numbers and underscores.

Your plugin folder

An OpenRCT2 plugin is just this: a .js file in the plugin folder, plus an optional README. That is the whole install.

How this maps to the real game

The .js file goes in Documents/OpenRCT2/plugin/.

registerPlugin tells the game the plugin exists.

context.subscribe attaches your code to an event, and park.postMessage shows a message.

    The console

Click the red line, then choose the fix. Plain lines are normal.

    What is the fix?

    Download your plugin

This bundles your .js file and a README into a zip. Unzip it and drop the folder, or just the .js file, into your OpenRCT2 plugin folder.
