The short version: the Game Maker collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no adverts, and no analytics. The games you make stay on your device unless you choose to share one.
JVDS Game Maker is made by JVDesignStudio, an independent studio in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at joshhyyymakes@gmail.com or via jvdesignstudio.co.uk.
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no forms. We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email address, contacts, location, or any other personal information, because we have no servers to send it to.
Your games, saved slots, artwork, sounds, settings, and XP are stored in local storage on your device only. Nothing is uploaded anywhere automatically. Deleting the app deletes your creations with it, so export anything you want to keep first.
This is the only part of the app that ever touches the internet, and it only happens when you tap Share or Remix.
You can share a game as a game code instead, which involves no network at all.
The app contains no adverts and no analytics or tracking of any kind. No advertising identifier is read, and no usage data is sent to us or to any third party.
The Game Maker is designed for young makers. With no ads, no accounts, no chat, and no data collection, there is nothing that would gather information from a child. Because sharing creates a public link, we would encourage younger makers to check with a grown-up before sending a game to anyone.
The app requests internet access for the optional link-shortening step described above. Everything else, including all 21 game types, the art, sound, level, and story tools, and playing what you build, works fully offline. The app does not require your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage.
Because everything is stored locally, deleting the app removes all of your data. There is nothing for us to delete on a server, because nothing was ever sent to one. A link you already shared cannot be recalled by us, as it is not stored by us; stop sharing it and it is only as available as wherever you posted it.
If the app ever changes how it handles data (for example, if we add optional cloud saves in a future version), we will update this page and the "last updated" date above before the change ships.
